From August 1, the life of Ukrainians will change in many aspects. Some changes, such as new entry rules for some countries, will affect only a small number of people. But all Ukrainians will face the new rules for the sale of antibiotics and changes in utility tariffs.

Sale of prescription antibiotics

From August 1, they will sell in Ukraine prescription antibiotics. You can get an electronic prescription for a medicine from any doctor who is registered in the electronic health system. The doctor can also write a paper prescription. It will be possible to buy an antibiotic by prescription within 30 days from the date of its discharge.

Education in higher educational institutions

Ministry of Education and Science recommends institutions of vocational and higher education to start training from 15 August. But this does not apply to freshmen. The MES also recommends holding classes on Saturdays during the warmer months. The session in 2022 is recommended to be completed by the end of November, and the second semester should start on February 15. Dates may change depending on local security.

Registration for participation in the multi-subject test

In August, applicants who failed to register for the National Multisubject Test in the main and additional periods will have one last opportunity to do so.

To register for the exam you need:

  1. from August 12 to 15, create a registration card on the site Ukrainian center for assessing the quality of education;
  2. from August 25 to August 30, choose a settlement for passing the test for personal page;
  3. from September 5 to 7, confirm participation in testing on the personal page and select the settlement closest to the place of stay during the special session.

New tariffs for light

Starting August 1, electricity tariffs will depend on consumption. Ukraine, using up to 250 kWh per month, will pay UAH 1.44 for electricity. And households consuming more than 250 kWh per month will pay at the old tariff at the level of UAH 1.68.

In addition, during martial law in Ukraine and another six months after its end, Ukraine will not increase tariffs for gas distribution, heating and hot water. Such moratorium introduced by the Verkhovna Rada.

New entry rules for some countries

In Ukraine, from August 1, the rules for traveling to some countries will change. Ukrainians vaccinated with at least one dose of Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Pfizer / BioNTech drugs will be able to enter some countries – Italy and Saudi Arabia. Upon arrival, you will need to go through isolation.

The rest of the citizens will be required to install the Vdoma mobile application at the state border. If you test positive for coronavirus, you will have to go into self-isolation.

Natural gas tariffs

From August 1, Naftogaz will supply natural gas at new tariffs. Until March 31, 2023, the population is offered a tariff of UAH 7,420 per thousand cubic meters, including VAT.

The tariff for the public sector will be UAH 16,390 per thousand cubic meters. Other consumers will pay UAH 38,325.5 per thousand cubic meters, including VAT.

At the same time, new norms will apply to all consumers, which are 10% lower than those that were enshrined in three-year agreements previously concluded between consumers and Naftogaz. Most likely, for exceeding the norm, each “extra” cubic meter will be paid at the market price.
