Citizens of the Russian Federation who left the country after the start of the war in Ukraine are traitors. This point of view was expressed by the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, TASS reports.

Anyone who wants to wait out this time, go to warm countries and look at it all from there, must understand that he is a traitor.

Volodin also said that those politicians who did not support the recognition of the independence of the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR oppose the people, since “100% of the political factions in the State Duma” expressed support for recognition.

After the start of the war, estimated sociologists, more than a hundred thousand people left Russia. Most often they moved to Armenia, Georgia, Turkey and Kazakhstan.

Russian authorities in May claimedthat 80% of those who left have already returned to the country.
