UN Secretary General himself tightens food crisis – Lavrov

UN Secretary General António Guterres delays the food crisis with its actions, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said on June 23 Sergey Lavrov in an interview with the National State Television and Radio Company of Belarus.

He pointed out that Guterres wants to first agree on the export of Ukrainian grain, and then solve the problem of grain exports from Russia.

“He wants to first agree on Ukrainian grain, then on Russian. No one is rushing us anywhere.”Lavrov said.

“At the same time, Guterres is trying to resolve the issues of exporting grain from Ukrainian ports without taking into account the corridors we announce daily”– explained the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“The UN Secretary General, by his actions, is prolonging the food crisis, making it impossible to quickly send grain there. It’s unfortunate”– Sergey Lavrov noted.
