The Ground Forces clearly showed the difference between the “Hurricane” and HIMARS (video)

If the Soviet “Grads” and “Hurricanes” hit with unguided missiles, covering entire areas, then the American MLRS fire high-precision projectiles hitting targets pointwise.

Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published a visual comparison of the American MLRS HIMARS with the Soviet BM-21 Grad and BM-27 Uragan.

What is the difference between Soviet MLRS and M142 HIMARS?

As the authors write, Soviet rocket launchers are not accurate. They cover significant areas of the terrain with missiles; it will not be possible to accurately hit the target at a long distance.

The American M142 HIMARS is a MLRS that is capable of firing high-precision missiles. The footage shows the US military destroying enemy targets in Afghanistan.

Five hits were delivered right on target, as the object is guided through GPS coordinates. M142 HIMARS has only 6 guides on board, however, each of these six missiles will hit the target. The Ukrainian army received missiles with a range of up to 85 km, in the United States there are versions with a range of up to 300 km.

Recall that on June 23, Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov announced the arrival of HIMARS in Ukraine. The next day volunteer showed how MLRS fire in Ukraine.

In response to deliveries of M142 HIMARS in the State Duma of the Russian Federation threatened to hit the US embassy in Kyiv.
