The first director of the Tsaritsyn Opera Theater died in Volgograd
Composer, first director of the Tsaritsynskaya Opera Theatre, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Federas died on June 23 in Volgograd, the correspondent was told IA REGNUM in the press service of the regional committee of culture.
The musician headed the Tsaritsyno Opera in 2004, when the institution’s staff received its current status, and directed the theater until 2011. Vladimir Federas was also the artistic director of the Grigory Ponomarenko State Ensemble.
“Vladimir Leonovich Federas will forever remain in the hearts, in the memory of colleagues and all music lovers as a truly creative person, an original composer, whose works are an integral part of the rich cultural heritage of the region,” the obituary says.
Vladimir Federas has died at the age of 73.
