Taliban* called UN Security Council travel ban useless

After imposing a travel ban on the Minister of Higher Education and Deputy Minister of Education of the Taliban government, the group called the actions of the UN Security Council futile and repetitive attempts.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban government issued a statement saying it welcomes the UN Security Council’s lifting of sanctions against other members of the group; but the travel ban for two other Taliban officials is simply useless.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs considers it unpromising to exert such pressure and repeat unsuccessful experiments that will not have consequences,” the Foreign Ministry added.
