Deputy General Secretary UN Martin Griffiths and Secretary General of the Conference UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Rebeca Greenspan will meet in Geneva on November 11 with representatives Russiato discuss extending the grain deal. “Rebeca Greenspan, Secretary-General of the UN Conference on Trade and Development, and UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Martin Griffiths will meet with a high-level Russian delegation on November 11 in Geneva,” she said during a briefing for journalists.
As Tremblay noted, at the upcoming meeting “consultations will be continued to support the efforts of the Secretary General [ООН] for the implementation of the agreements.
The grain deal was signed on July 22 in Istanbul Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and the UN. The agreement involves the export of Ukrainian grain, food and fertilizer across the Black Sea from the ports of Odessa, Yuzhny and Chernomorsk. The agreement ends November 19
