Earlier, the Russian Embassy confirmed information about the death of four Russian women. In total, according to media reports, 153 people died. Most of them are women.

The tragedy occurred on one of the narrow lanes of the South Korean capital Itaewon during the celebration of Halloween. Witnesses said that a large crowd of people poured into a narrow lane, “instantly” began a stampede, people began to fall on each other.

Seoul authorities have received over 3,500 missing persons reports. South Korean President Yoon Seok Yeol has declared national mourning.
