The Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States reproached the Pope for inattentive reading of Dostoevsky

In Ukraine, the Pope was accused of inattentive reading of Dostoevsky

Recall that the day before, the Pope of Rome said that he loves the Russian and Ukrainian peoples, and the Holy See holds many meetings with “good results” for the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. In addition, Francis noted that he highly appreciates the Russian people and Russian humanism.

“The Pope, apparently, somehow inattentively read Dostoevsky,” Markarova wrote on social networks.

The ambassador also noted that “a number of other works by writers/poets, including Pushkin, Kuprin, Bulgakov”, as well as a superficial study of Russian history, allegedly prove that “humanism did not smell” in Russia.
