The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center predicted a winter colder than the previous one for Muscovites Russia Roman Vilfand. The meteorologist spoke about this at a press conference, his words are quoted by TASS.

“On average, the temperature in the center of Russia is predicted to be around the norm. Compared to last year, the temperature will be lower. We do not predict an extremely cold winter, but it will be very changeable,” the forecaster said.

The specialist added that this winter there will be frequent thaws and frosts down to minus 15-20 degrees.

Formerly Roman Vilfand reportedthat stable frosts and the establishment of snow cover can be expected in the capital no earlier than the second decade of November.
