Five EU countries began to use gas reserves from storage

According to the agency, we are talking about such states as Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands and Poland. It is noted that this is happening against the backdrop of a seasonal drop in temperature, which officially opened the beginning of the winter season in Europe.

According to the regulator, the level of current gas reserves in underground storage facilities is 95 percent. It is specified that this is about 102 billion cubic meters of active gas.

Formerly Bloomberg wrotethat European countries spent $104.8 billion to fill gas storage facilities before the onset of the winter season. It was noted that the massive winterization efforts show the extent to which the EU is still paying the price for its dependence on Russian gas, which once accounted for 40 per cent of supplies.
