The demonstrators demanded an end to the fighting that is currently taking place in the former Soviet republic. Their actions briefly interrupted an event involving Anthony Blinken and the Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly in Montreal, according to the agency.

Diplomats of the two countries held a meeting with members of an organization that provides assistance to Syrian refugees. At this time, the protesters began to chant: “Yankees, go home” and “We don’t want you to be here.”

According to Bloomberg, because of the protest, Blinken and Joly had to communicate with media representatives in another place, while there was no threat to their lives.

Canadian journalists claim that the demonstrators opposed the intervention of Washington and Ottawa in the affairs of Haiti.

The United States authorities are supporting Kyiv with the supply of arms and weapons, as well as multimillion-dollar funds against the backdrop of a special Russian military operation.
