FAS proposed to increase gas tariffs in Russia by 8.5% from December 1
From December 1 of the current year, gas prices in Russia can grow. Offered to raise rates Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) countries, should from a document published on the portal of regulatory legal acts.
According to the authorities’ draft, wholesale prices should be raised by 8.5 percent for all consumers – the measure will affect both industry and the population.
The press service of the FAS explained that the change in tariffs is provided for by the forecast of Russia’s socio-economic development. Service stated TASSthat after the increase in December, tariffs will not change for a year and a half, until July 1, 2024.
“Against the background of the current level of inflation, tariffs for the population change below inflation. Thus, the gas industry acts as a certain damper to reduce negative consequences, including utility tariffs, since gas is the main source for the generation of heat and electricity, ”the agency reports.
Previously President Vladimir Putin instructed regional authorities to allocate money to the Russians for gas connection. Citizens in need should receive subsidies in the amount of 100,000 rubles as part of social gasification for the purchase and connection of the necessary equipment. The law on free gasification was signed head of state last June. The first stage should be carried out until 2023, the second – until 2030.
