From November 1, a restriction on the export of red caviar from Kamchatka began to operate
AT Russia changed the rules for the export of red caviar from Kamchatka – from November 1, one passenger of the aircraft can take out from the peninsula (in luggage or hand luggage) no more than 10 kilograms of this delicacy. Relevant law published on the official portal of legal information.
The restriction will remain in effect until August 2025. It is clarified that we are talking about caviar of non-industrial production, that is, without factory packaging marked Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This measure is designed to limit the sale of illegally obtained product.
Earlier it was reported that in Russia from November 1, 2022 to August 31, 2023 will take place experiment on marking black and red caviar — salmon and sturgeon caviar will receive a special code. AT Rosrybolovstvo explained the need for this measure by the popularity of the shadow sale of the delicacy.
