Bloomberg: Protesters interrupt event with US Secretary of State Blinken in Montreal
Protesters against the continuation of the conflict on Ukraine demonstrators temporarily interrupted the event with the participation of the Secretary of State USA Anthony Blinken in Canadian Monreale. About it informs Bloomberg agency.
“Protesters demanding an end to hostilities in Ukraine briefly interrupted an event with Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Canadian Foreign Secretary Melanie Joly in Montreal,” the agency reports.
Diplomats held a meeting with members of an organization that helps Syrian refugees. At this point, the protesters began chanting “Yankee go home” and “We don’t want you here.” Because of the demonstration, Blinken and Joly had to change the venue for communication with journalists in another place.
At the same time, a Radio-Canada journalist who published a video from the event claims that the demonstrators opposed US intervention and Canada in the affairs of Haiti.
Formerly Anthony Blinken declared that the post-Cold War era is over. According to him, there is currently a competition for the definition of a new world order. He stressed that the United States has everything it needs to take a central role in this issue.
