Bloomberg: Putin will not go to the G20 summit in Indonesia, Lavrov will be instead
President of Russia Vladimir Putin will not go to the G20 summit in Indonesia, reported Bloomberg, citing its own source.
According to the publication, instead of Putin, the Russian delegation will be headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov.
Earlier on November 9, the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov said the Kremlin would announce in a few days whether Putin would go to the G20 summit, adding that “various formats are being discussed.”
The day before, Indonesian President Joko Widodo suggested that Putin could speak at the summit virtually.
