Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) put on the wanted list the rector of one of the churches in the Kharkiv region, who campaigned in support of Russia. About this in Telegram the press service of the department said.
The rector of the temple of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) in the Kupyansky district, according to the SBU, during his sermons agitated parishioners in favor of Russia, and also attracted one of the local residents to this. According to law enforcement officers, both have already left the country.
“To both defendants [заочно] Suspicion reported,” the statement said.
Earlier it was reported that the SBU presented accusations against the Metropolitan of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) in the Vinnitsa region. According to investigators, the priest incited religious hatred and offended the feelings of citizens in connection with their religious beliefs.
