Italian political scientist Graziani announced the lowest point in relations with Russia
Relations between Russia and Italy reached their lowest point in history. This was stated in an interview with Lenta.ru by an Italian political scientist, chairman of the analytical center Vision & Global Trends Tiberio Graziani.
According to him, after February 24, 2022, the relationship between Moscow and Rome deteriorated significantly. At the same time, the new Italian government, headed by right-wing politician George Meloni, is following the same course towards Russia in both rhetoric and substance as its predecessor.
“Rome could play a certain role in resolving the conflict, but in this case it should take a position similar to that of Ankara”, Graziani emphasized.
Earlier, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced the need for a meeting between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky. At the same time, the diplomat notedthat there is no peace without justice, which, in turn, “coincides with the territorial integrity of Ukraine.”
