Russian occupiers today released from the region of the north of the Caspian Sea eight missiles in Ukraineseven of them shot down.

This is stated in the message of the Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the social network Facebook.

In particular, on August 2, at about 17:00, the invaders launched a missile attack from the Caspian Sea region. Strategic bombers Tu-95 (Tu-160) were used.

“In total, eight cruise missiles of the X-101 (X-555) type were fired across the territory of Ukraine in the direction of the central, southern and western regions of Ukraine. Seven of the eight missiles were shot down by the air defense of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Six missiles were eliminated by anti-aircraft missile forces and one shot down by an Air Force fighter jet.

“Unfortunately, there is one hit in the Lviv region – an anti-aircraft missile system was hit. Information about the damage and victims is being specified,” the message says.

Recall that about shooting down two enemy missiles during the air raid today reported in the Vinnitsa region.

As UNIAN reported, Ukrainian defenders in the Mykolaiv region destroyed four Russian cruise missiles.
