Romanian agriculture minister resigns
Minister of Agriculture of Romania Adrian Chesnoy officially announced his resignation from his position. This was reported on June 23 by the Bucharest television channel Digi24.
The decision to leave the post was made by Chesnoy “against the backdrop of unprecedented pressure from ill-wishers and the media”.
“I do not want to be the object of accusations and ridicule, so I resign.”
Recall that earlier representatives of the Anti-Corruption Committee of Romania initiated a criminal case against Chesnoy. The minister is accused of abuse of office and embezzlement of public funds.
