Peruvian court refuses to suspend investigation against president

Peruvian court decides not to stop investigation against the country’s president Pedro Castillo. Prensa Latina writes about it.

The court found unfounded the appeal for the protection of rights filed by the president’s lawyer Benji Espinozastating that presidential immunity is grounds for suspending the investigation into Castillo.

Upon learning of the court’s decision, Castillo’s defense said they would appeal against it.
