Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the completion of measures for partial mobilization in Russia.

According to the minister, in total, more than 1,300 representatives of executive authorities of various levels, over 27,000 entrepreneurs were called up and sent to the troops. 13 thousand citizens, without waiting for summonses, expressed a desire to fulfill their duty and were sent to the troops as volunteers, RIA Novosti reports.

The average age of mobilized citizens was 35 years. Currently, 218 thousand people are being trained. 82,000 people completed their training and were sent to the area of ​​the NMD in Ukraine, of which more than 41,000 work as part of units.

As Shoigu noted, everyone who participates in hostilities will receive the status of a veteran and the corresponding package of social benefits.

“We have completed the dispatch of citizens called for mobilization today. Citizen notification has been discontinued. The task set by you – 300 thousand people – has been completed. No additional tasks are planned,” Shoigu summed up.

In turn, Putin thanked everyone who joined the ranks of the RF Armed Forces during the partial mobilization.

“I want to thank everyone who joined the ranks of the RF Armed Forces. I want to thank them for their fidelity to duty, for patriotism, for their firm determination to defend our country, our Russia, and therefore their home, their family, our citizens, our people,” the Russian leader said, asking the head of the Defense Ministry to convey these words of gratitude to the troops .
