The production of Russian ice cream for the domestic market and deliveries to the EAEU countries increased by 33% compared to last year, TASS reported, citing the press service of the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT), the operator of the Chestny Znak digital marking system. .
“Ice cream producers are successfully coping with external challenges,” the agency quotes Yulia Kuzmina, head of the Moloko commodity group, CRPT. – “Judging by the rate of production growth, the reconfiguration of the supply chains of raw materials and production components, including packaging, has been completed,” the expert believes. She notes that the long shelf life of ice cream allows manufacturers to produce it for future use and ship it to retailers as needed.
According to the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies, in the third quarter of 2022, the supply of domestic ice cream for the needs of consumers amounted to 138.5 thousand tons. In the same period last year, 104.2 thousand tons were produced.
