[News] Russian sanctions of the EU may relate to limiting oil prices and IT

New anti-Russian sanctions of the European Union may affect the restriction of oil prices, information technology and cybersecurity. This is reported by The Financial Times , citing sources.

It is noted that the new package of sanctions will contain provisions for the introduction of restrictions on oil prices in the Russian Federation , additional lists of Russian citizens subject to sanctions, and measures directed against the Russian sphere of information technology, cybersecurity and software.

The newspaper also writes that the more radical members of the European Union, namely Poland , Latvia , Lithuania and Estonia , demand new tough restrictions on the Russian Federation. In particular, they insist that even more Russian banks lose access to SWIFT systems, and also advocate a ban on diamond imports.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that the European Union wants to set a price ceiling for Russian oil due to partial mobilization.
