The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry , Maria Zakharova , said that no threats from the EU countries will change Moscow ‘s intention to realize all the goals and objectives of the special military operation on the territory of Ukraine . These words were published on the website of the Foreign Ministry as part of a response to a statement by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
“No threats from the EU or other Western countries will change our determination to realize all the goals and objectives of the Special Military Operation and ensure the protection of the Russian population,” the ministry said in a statement.
The text also says that the European Union, instead of helping to end the conflict in Ukraine, is dragging out hostilities, ignoring casualties and destruction.
Speaking about Borrell’s statement, Zakharova noted that his statement was “permeated with a confrontational mood and devoid of objectivity.”
Earlier, the head of European diplomacy , Josep Borrell , said that the EU would introduce new sanctions, both personal and sectoral, against Russia , the country’s leadership and people involved in organizing referendums in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
