Named the amount of funds spent in 2021 on the development of nuclear weapons

In 2021, nine countries, including the DPRK, spent $82.4 billion on developing nuclear weapons, KBS reports citing data from the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) public organization.

According to published data, over the year, the amount of funds spent on development increased by $6.5 billion.

It is known that the United States occupies the first place in spending on nuclear weapons. China and Russia follow. North Korea ranks ninth with $642 million.

It is assumed that Pyongyang has about 20 nuclear weapons at its disposal.

This spending rating is based on contracts, annual reports and other publicly available data.
