Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova I was surprised by the number of citizens of Ukraine, the DPR and the LPR who received the status of temporary asylum in Russia. She made the corresponding statement during a meeting of the expert council at the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation.
“Your figure – 55,202 people who received temporary asylum – surprised me because it is so small, miserable. If there are one and a half million arrivals on our territory, then what is the status of the rest? And why haven’t they received it yet?– said Moskalkova.
She promised to make a request to the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs in order to “figure out what happened to the rest of the people, why they did not receive the status.”
