The electric car Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX on tests made a run from Germany to the UK without recharging. While it is a prototype, however, from 2024 it will go into production.
The latest Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX again set a record for the distance run without recharging. The electric car traveled 1202 km from Stuttgart, Germany to Silverstone in the UK. About it informs press service of Mercedes-Benz.

The journey lasted 14 hours and 30 minutes – the car stopped to rest the driver, but was not recharged. The route was laid through France and the tunnel under the English Channel. He passed through high-speed German autobahns and a highway near London with heavy traffic jams.
Most of the time, the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX was air-conditioned. Sometimes during the run, the electric car was accelerated to a maximum of 140 km / h. On average, he spent 8.3 kWh per 100 km.

It is noteworthy that at the time of arrival at Silverstone, there was little battery left. Therefore, the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX electric car was sent to unload it at the Formula 1 circuit and it drove 11 laps (64.8 km) there.

Recall that in April the new Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX already set a mileage record without recharging – then the electric car drove 1007 km. However, a month later this achievement was beaten American electric car Lucid Airso Mercedes-Benz decided to return the record to itself.

The Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX electric car is now being actively tested and is preparing to launch it into production from 2024. Recall that the model is equipped with a 204-horsepower engine and a relatively small battery with a capacity of about 100 kWh. A huge power reserve was achieved, first of all, due to the well-thought-out aerodynamics of the sedan.
