Italy’s right wing opposed COVID-19 passports

The extension of the validity of the so-called covid-passports in the EU until mid-2023 is meaningless, such a statement was made on June 23 in the Italian right-wing conservative party Brothers of Italy.

As previously reported, the European Commission, the European Council and the European Parliament agreed on this initiative.

In Italy, as in other EU countries, the state of emergency due to the coronavirus has already been canceled, the situation has stabilized, the oppositionists recalled. In their opinion, now this tool serves only “to control citizens” and restricts their constitutional rights.
