In Yaroslavl, developers were allowed to demolish trees for free

In Yaroslavl, developers were allowed to demolish trees at the construction site without paying compensation to the city budget. The resolution on this was signed by the mayor Ilya Motovilov.

According to the current rules, if it is necessary to demolish trees, the organization must pay the so-called replacement cost – this money should be used to plant new trees in the city. It was possible to cut trees without payment during sanitary cuttings, during the construction of municipal facilities or facilities, and for the exercise of the powers of government bodies. Now all builders have got to this list.

Demolition of trees on site without compensation is possible with a valid building permit. Apparently, the authorities thus decided to support the builders in the face of sanctions. Earlier, the mayor’s office granted developers a deferral for paying land rent.
