In Nizhny Tagil, a pensioner spent hundreds of thousands of rubles on a voltage stabilizer

In Nizhny Tagil, a window installer sold an 84-year-old woman a voltage stabilizer for 300,000 rubles. This was reported in the press group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Employees of a window repair company called the victim’s landline with an offer of service. The woman agreed. After some time, a specialist came to her, with whom she entered into an agreement for the provision of services to eliminate all problems. After the work was done, the man left.

After some time, the young man reappeared in the woman’s apartment, but with a check, at the same time he asked to recharge his cell phone. Then he had an idea to deceive a woman. The guy told the owner of the apartment that his charger burned out due to strong power surges. To exclude this, he proposed to install a voltage stabilizer worth 300 thousand rubles. The woman believed and agreed.

The pensioner realized that she had been deceived at the moment when after the departure of the man there were no official documents left. After that, she went to write a statement to the police.

Investigators opened a criminal case for fraud. The suspect was a 23-year-old man with no previous convictions. He was given a measure of restraint in the form of a written undertaking not to leave. The issue of compensation for damage to the injured party is being resolved.
