Frost kills 12 children in Afghanistan

At least 12 children have died as a result of frost and snowfall in Kunar province in eastern Afghanistan, the Bakhtar news agency reported.

According to him, the snowfall hit the Yugal region. Official details of what happened were not reported. However, the Xinhua News Agency, citing eyewitnesses, clarified that the dead were from families of nomads who grazed cattle in the mountains.

As reported IA REGNUM, earlier at least 400 people died as a result of floods in Afghanistan. It was noted that the provinces of Kabul, Panjshir, Khost, Paktia and Nangarhar were most affected.
