The issue of demining ports in the Black Sea lies entirely within the responsibility of Ukraine. This was announced on June 23 by the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Lavrov at a press conference following talks with the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian.
“The efforts that both Turkey and the UN Secretary General are now making – they, in general, would have been successful a long time ago if Ukraine and its Western masters solved the problem of clearing ports in the Black Sea,” Lavrov said.
“This question is obvious to any specialist. Attempts to organize some kind of international coalition for the implementation of these procedures are aimed solely at intervening in the affairs of the Black Sea region under the auspices of the UN. We see it very well,” he said.
