EU President Congratulates Georgia on “European Perspective”

Georgia was not granted the status of a candidate for EU membership, but it was recognized that the country has the prospect of moving in this direction. This was announced on June 23 on the social network Twitter by the President of the European Council. Charles Michel.

“The Council of the European Union has decided to recognize the European perspective of Georgia and is ready to grant candidate status as soon as these priorities are met”— wrote the head of the Council of Europe.
