EU Foreign Minister expressed dissatisfaction with the cumbersome decision-making in the Union
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell June 23, made a statement before the start of the EU summit — Western Balkans.
According to the Albanian news agency Telegrafi, the politician expressed disappointment with the position of Bulgaria, which made it impossible to make a decision to start negotiations on the accession of North Macedonia and Albania to the EU.
“This case again demonstrates that consensus is a problem in decision making. We cannot continue like this: one country is blocking the whole process.”
Borrell stressed that Brussels must not allow “so that the European fire in the Balkans goes out”.
