Bulgarian monument desecrated in North Macedonia

In the capital of the Republic of North Macedonia (RSM), the city of Skopje, unidentified people desecrated a Bulgarian monument. This was reported on June 23 by the Sofia newspaper Fakty.

According to preliminary data, vandals painted graffiti on a monument created in honor of the Madara Horseman, a cultural product of the era of the ancient Bulgarians. At the moment, there is no information about the detained vandals. An investigation is underway.

Recall, on June 4, in the city of Bitola in the south-west of North Macedonia, as a result of deliberate arson, the building of the Bulgarian cultural center named after. Ivan Mikhailov. The action led to another cooling of relations between Sofia and Skopje.
