The negative consequences for the EU countries from retaliatory Russian sanctions are no reason not to support Kyiv, an official representative of the European Commission said on June 21 Eric Mamer.
“Of course, Europe is facing consequences. But we are taking numerous initiatives to address the effects of these consequences.”
According to a European official, the EU does not intend to back down and will continue to provide “very strong impact on Russia”. He added that Brussels could change its policy if Russia stops the special operation in Ukraine.
