Law enforcement agencies detained in Kostroma the owner of the burned-out club “Polygon” Ikhtiyar Mirzoev. He is currently under investigation.

“Mirzoev was detained in a criminal case initiated under part 3 of article 219 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of fire safety rules, resulting in the death of two or more persons through negligence,” – informs TASS, citing a law enforcement source.

It is known that at the end of 2018 Mirzoev changed the tenant of the building (Polygon LLC) before the planned inspection of fire inspectors, which made it impossible.

Ikhtiyar Mirzoev is a deputy of the Kostroma Regional Duma. Earlier, the Presidium of the General Council of United Russia suspended the parliamentarian’s membership in the party. According to him, he rented out all the premises and has nothing to do with the activities of the Imperia company, which organized the work of the nightclub.

A major fire broke out in the “Polygon” on the night of November 5. 250 people were evacuated from the building. 13 people died and five were injured. The 23-year-old man who allegedly started the fire arrested. The director of “Empire” was also arrested.
