Champions League play-off participants determined

On the night of Thursday, November 3, all the football clubs that will take part in the matches of the 1/8 finals of the UEFA Champions League became known, informs Interfax-Sport.

From the first places in the playoffs of the prestigious tournament came the clubs of the English Premier League “Manchester City”, “Tottenham” and “Chelsea” (all – England). Also from the first places in the 1/8 finals were Bayern (Germany), Porto (Portugal), Napoli (Italy), Real Madrid (Spain), Paris Saint-Germain (France).

From the second places came the Italian clubs “Milan” and “Inter”, “Liverpool” (England), “Bruges” (Belgium), “Benfica” (Portugal), as well as the German clubs “Eintracht Frankfurt”, “RB Leipzig”, ” Borussia Dortmund”.

In what combinations these clubs will meet in the matches of the 1/8 finals of the UEFA Champions League, it will become known after the draw. It is scheduled for November 7th.

In May, UEFA introduced sanctions against Russian football, banning the Russian national team and Russian clubs from participating in their tournaments. In addition, UEFA has taken away from Russia the right to host the Champions League final. From St. Petersburg, the match was moved to the stadium “Stade de France” in the suburbs of Paris.
