According to preliminary data, due to an identified engine malfunction, the crew decided to make an emergency landing in a field near Mikhailovskoye Highway, not far from residential buildings. During landing, the aircraft partially collapsed, a fire started.
“During the training flight without cargo, due to an identified engine malfunction, the crew decided to land on the ground,” the Defense Ministry said.
TASS agency transmitsthat during a hard landing, the Il-76 damaged power lines, and residential buildings on two streets – Library and Sitnikovskaya, were left without electricity. No civilian buildings were damaged, and there were no casualties among the local residents. Emergencies Ministry personnel are working at the crash site.
At the same time, the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported on the crash of the Il-76 near Ryazan on its website. However, later the information disappeared, and the previously valid link became unavailable.
Earlier it was reported that in the Belgorod region Russian Su-25 attack aircraft crashed. According to eyewitnesses, the plane caught on a power line, after which it fell into a field in the Korochansky district.
