Taiwan responded to the military activity of Chinese forces and raised its air patrol forces, radio warnings were also issued and anti-aircraft missile systems were deployed in the direction of Chinese aircraft.
Taiwan’s Defense Ministry said 22 Chinese military aircraft entered the island’s air defense identification zone on June 23. About this Taiwan Defense Ministry reported on Twitter.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the island, Chinese fighters were moving to the southwestern part of the island. Taiwan responded to the military activity of Chinese forces and sent an air patrol force to respond and monitor the aircraft. Radio warnings were also issued and anti-aircraft missile systems were deployed in the direction of Chinese aircraft.
Among the Chinese warships observed are two Y-8 ASW anti-submarine aircraft, five Chinese JH-7 fighter-bombers, two H-6 jet bombers, ten J-16 strike fighters, one Y-8 EW transport aircraft and two early warning aircraft KJ-500.
Recall that this is not the first air activity of Chinese forces around the island. On June 21, the Ministry of Defense of Taiwan reported that in the air defense zone of the island turned out to be 29 Chinese aircraft. Taiwan alerted its air force and also issued a radio warning and deployed anti-aircraft missile systems.
Earlier, June 14 in China signed a decree on conducting “non-military” operations. It should provide a legal basis for peaceful military operations that could pose a threat to Taiwan.
